2.能诵读歌谣《What would you like?》并尝试改编歌谣

3能综合运用本单元学到的单词和句型进行点餐活动并会征求别人的意见。

Teaching procedures:

Step 1. Lead in

1.Read a picture book - < > 

T:Boys and girls,do you like reading picture books?Let’s read a picture book at first and answer the questions:

Question 1: Who are they in the story?    They are Mr Fox and Mr Ox.

Question 2: What do they fight for?       They fight for a box.

T: Yes ,you are right.Mr Fox and Mr Ox fight for a box.

Step 2.Sound time

1.Listen and find

T:Where is the box now?

The teacher get the students listen to Sound time and answer the question:”Where is the box now? 

S:The box is behind Mrs Fox.

The teacher shows the students the following words /ox /fox/ box /six /taxi and get the students to find the similarity among these words:They all have the letter “X” and here it sounds /ks/.

2.Lets chant

X says /ks/,X says /ks/,

box,box, /ks,/ /ks/, /ks/ .

X says /ks/,X says /ks/,

fox,fox, /ks,/ /ks/, /ks/ .

X says /ks/,X says /ks/,

six,six, /ks,/ /ks/, /ks/ .

3.Listen and repeat

4.Read in different ways

Read in pairs ;Read together

5.Extension

a.Watch and find

Get the students to watch a cartoon and find Whats in Mr Foxs box?

 ax / saxophone / mixer / taxi

T:There are so many things in the box.Its so ...

S:Its so funny.

b..Make two sentences with the words above.

eg. The fox is in the box.

S:...(Work in groups)

Step 3.Rhyme time

T:Look.Who is he?

S:He’s DINGDANGMAO.

T:Yes.He has a magic bag.There is a lot of nice food in the bag.Let’s have a look.

1.Look and say.Review the words

The teacher gets the students to tell the words loudly.

hamburger/ sandwich/pie/rice/juice/milk/coffee/tea/meat/apples/noodles/...

T:Wow,they are so nice!Now I am hungry.I’d like a hamburger.I’d like a sandwich.I’d like a hot dog.I can eat them all.Boys and girls,what would you like?

S1: I’d like...

T:Anything else?

S1:I’d like ...

T:How about you?

S2: I’d like...

T:Would you like...?

S3:Yes,please./No,thank you.

Now,let’s listen ,what would they like?

2.Listen and answer

Question1:What would they like?

Theyd like a pie and some rice.

Question 2:How are the pie and the rice?

Theyre all very nice.

T:Here “nice” can also means...

S:Good/yummy/delicious/tasty...

3.Adapting

T:Let’s make a new rhyme.First ,you can listen to me.

(The teacher should remember to give more words for the students to choose.)

I’d like a cake.

I’d like some milk.

They’re all very good.

T:You all did a good job.Now I want to know more about them.

1.Listen and match.

Open to page Page 43 and do some listening exercise.

Check the answers.Get the students to say like this:

Yang Ling would like ...

Wang Bing would like...

Su hai would like...

Liu Tao would like...

 

Elevation of emotion:

1.Watch a video.

T: There are many kinds of food around us.Some are good for us,some are not.Let’s watch a video .

2.Eat healthy and keep healthy.

Retrospect

1.Tick out - What does the boy like and what doesn’t he like?

2.Choose

What does mum cook for the boy?

A. Spaghetti with meat             B.Spaghetti with vegetables

3.What do you think of the mother and the boy?Talk with your classmates and write it down.

Homework

1. Try to find more words with the letter “X” pronounced as /ks/

2. Try to make the rhyme 《What would you like?》better that has the same  tail vowel.

3. Read the picture book《Green eggs and ham》 and share your thoughts with each other.
